On Friday 27 August we met Roger Solbakke in Varna. Always nice to have a chat with Roger. He has followed us from the first moment here in Bulgaria. Today I drove to Varna to meet lawyer Tsvatan and Mr. Georgi from the construction company. Eve was also there to translate. We went through all what’s been done so far in Solnik and the next step before construction. We still have to conclude the last piece of approval to the environment department for merging…

We are now beginning to see an end of the twig waste that was made last fall. It was hot to work today, but in return we had brought grilled chicken and cold drinks. That kept the forces going. The drink remained cold in a bag of ice cubes.

Amazingly, there was a work session both afternoon and evening. And don’t you think it got dark quickly.

Small insects on our way today. The frogs are enjoying themselves in the pool in Byala for the time being, and do not know that they will soon be banished when the pool is to be prepared for the summer, poor thing. I was almost stepping on the little turtle, which was no bigger than…
