Varna and Byala 15 August 2022
Waking up without having to get up to catch a train, i.e. bus for train as it is now, is pleasant……Even if it’s hot outside, we sleep well. The apartment itself is cold or cool. Mail ticks in from the dentist in Varna that the hours have been moved from 2 pm to 1 pm. It’s going well. Toasted bread from baker Hansen in Oslo with strawberry jam from Nora without sugar. Shame on you, really, to bring food here, but we can’t find coarser bread here. The trip to the dentist went well and for 1.5 hours of work I paid NOK 1,200. Tip top modern dental clinic with Norwegian speaking dentists. Recommended.
In the afternoon sun we strolled down to Dinner in Byala. Grilled vegetables and Bulgarian meatballs. We got home just in time before the thunderstorm started. Talk about luck.
With Radio Paradise on the radio and Bulgarian white wine in the glass, everything is as it should be on a Monday during the holidays.
