Solnik 24/10-21
I went to Solnik to check the demolition work of the houses. I think I don’t want to comment on the first sight of the place. The history of the place was now laying on the ground. I shoot up the drone and took some pictures, but unfortunately there was some problem with the gimbal of the drone, so the pictures was not very good. Vanja arrive with Galin and Plamen, and I have to admit thinking of what went through Vanjas head when she saw this destruction of the houses and garden she used to grow up. I don’t think I want to know.
Anyway, we drove back to Vanjas house, but first Vanja wanted us to visit the graveyard in Solnik. Her grandparents and their parents is laying here. It’s a special seremoni about pouring water and wine to the dead one, first water in a cross movements, then wine in a cross movement. Not sure where this seremoni comes from, but I have read something about Roman traditions connecting the living to the dead. It was a very special seremoni to be part on. It was important to not bring home the empty bottle, not to bring home bad spirits from the graveyard.
Then we drove to look at some other project similar to ours, still quite different from ours plan, which will be much simple. Quite amazing that so many people are thinking the same as us. You cant spot them from the road, you have to know about these places before going there. But this is not a problem in Bulgaria as long as you advertise on internet or make some agreement with some tourist agency- Good to know.
The dinner home to Vanja was as usual perfect, this time Georgi prepared everything. The grandmother was also invited to dinner, it was a pleasure to see her again. With that amount of intake of Rakia, I was happy to be able to sleep over. A great evening and the conversation goes non stop.
