Solnik 1/11-21
This morning I wake up to a gray weather and rain. Since I had nothing on the program today, I used the day for planning for the meeting tomorrow with lawyer Tsvetan and the construction company. But after some hour the sky lighten up again and I decided to go to Solnik to check what was stored under the last cleaning of the property. There was a lot of broken brick that I wanted to use for making trails or roads, I was curious if this was been taken care of. And to my pleasure, this was gathered between the big masses of the rest of the wast. Some of the pillars that I was thinking to use as end points to my vineyard was not gathered the way I had hoped for. But hopefully it’s possible to save some of them. Else there is still some of them remaining in the garden untouched. All in all I’m very satisfied with the work they have done with demolition of the houses and cleaning the property.
While standing in front of the garden a local guy comes by with his three goats. I have met him before and we try to communicate as best as we can. I take up my phone to try the voice translate app, but I have problem to explain to him that he have to speak to my phone so that I’m able to read what he is saying. Anyway, saying da, da is sometimes enough. I could hear he said something about “corona”, so when I answered “Rakia” he understood that this was the cure for this epidemic. And he was just lafting about my answer. Really nice to meet some local people living her.
On my way back to the apartment in Byala I was stopped by the police for my first time in Bulgaria. Not sure what reason, but I asked him if he talk English, but the policeman responded with saying “Russian?”, witch I answered “Ot Norvegiya”. Then he had a problem to communicate with me. Anyway, he asked for my passport, checking this for some time and says Ok. I drove to the supermarked for buying some dinner before going to the apartment.
