Back to Byala, 19/8-22
After breakfast and coffee we started our home back to Byala. I chose a shorter way back than when we came, but it turned out to be a much bigger detour. But we got to see much more of the villages on the road, industry and proximity to one of Bulgaria’s power plants. Not quite as beautiful, but still a nice experience.
In the northeastern part of Radnevo is located the largest monument of the Bulgarian saint – Ivan Rilski – patron of Bulgarian people and protector of the miners. The memorial complex is 32 meters high and was built in 2007. Ref. http://visit.guide-bulgaria.com/a/1150/memorial_st.ivan_rilski.htm
