Varna 27/8-21
On Friday 27 August we met Roger Solbakke in Varna. Always nice to have a chat with Roger. He has followed us from the first moment here in Bulgaria. Luba was at work so we did not meet her unfortunately. Furthermore, we met Maya from Bulgarian HomeCare. For practical reasons, she was authorized to pay public and municipal bills regarding the apartments in Byala. Then you have to go to the notary. We also had time for a good chat with her where she told about the company’s start. She and Chris worked in the real estate industry and were tired to work hard for others. So from Chris’ garage and a used PC, they started Bulgarian HomeCare. Rental and maintenance, cleaning of rental apartments along the entire Black Sea. Now Maya’s husband and Chris’ wife Stella also work in the company. They currently have 45-50 employees, depending on the time of season. A success story, but they work very hard.
After the notarius we went to a restaurant in Varna called Godzila to eat Paela. A very good meal. Not difficult to see who was the driver home to Byala.
