Solnik 22/7-18

We lay for a long time today, reading and tinkering with pictures of the mill that will be measured later today. Ate the regular breakfast which consists of yogurt and muesli, some honey and possibly jam.

It was almost 2 pm before we went to Solnik. Everything takes time and we kept on measuring for three hours. Mølla, one well, location of the two large trees, solid apple and pear tree that have grown too big. Which is close to the houses. They need to be pruned heavily.

We have cleared scrub, ie opened the access around the mill and then also to an unsecured well, 18 meters deep. We do not have much at our disposal to secure it with but some planks; A cane and heavy stones, prevent anyone from accidentally falling down. Children who are on a journey of discovery can inadvertently stream over the edge while playing. Which is only 27 cm high. All sorts of nasty thoughts can be obtained from an unsecured well.

We managed to get to the house in Obzor, after a bite to eat before it broke out with lightning and thunder. Wonderfully wonderful to experience. Those were the worst crashes we’ve ever heard. The lightning knocked out the current several times and the houses were completely lit by all the flashes of light. Exciting !
