After an fantastic weekend with Vanja and her family, with (as usual) great food from a fantastic chef, we all drove to Solnik to check the last work of the demolition of the houses and the cleaning of the plot for start construction the new house. Not sure when this last work was done, but…

Today we have invited Vanjas family to an Norwegian lunch at Byala Residence, with food brought from Norway. They arrived with some beautiful flowers. Except for Plamen that is working in the Netherlands as an electrician. Today we started out with our family from Bulgaria to an island outside Burgas called “Saint Anastasia”. This is a boat trip of about half an hour. Today the trip goes to Balchik to visit Venke, who has a beautiful property there which she has restored over several years. The result is just amazing. We will live in the stable that she has turned into a small apartment. We met Venke via Roger Solbakke and have become a friend who is nice…

After a very nice meeting with Vanja and her family on the farm in Solnik, we drove together to a local cafe in Byala. There we eagerly chatted about our plans for Solnik Garden. Think they like our plans 🙂 Both of their boys spoke good English, so then the language was not a problem….

Today we had a picnic in Solnik with Roy, Malika, Anne-Sofie and Mina, as well as Dag Inge who had taken the trip to Bulgaria to see the farm, and have a holiday of course. We are not quite sure what kind of impression they got, that they think we are crazy who can afford…
